Del Dosch

Director of Client Services & Project Development

With a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction from Penn State University, Del is our Director of Client Services and Project Development. Del has over 25 years of experience in engineering, construction, contract management, and project development in industries including, but not limited to, the industrial, manufacturing, metals, power, and energy markets.

Del’s background includes an emphasis on customer service, project management, and project execution. He also had years of experience in project validation, development, and field and contract management. In conjunction with his role at Spaeder, he is on the YMCA Board of Management and a member of the Engineers’ Society of Western Pennsylvania.

Jay Spaeder

President & Service Division Manager

As a member of the L.U. 449 and L.U. 47 – General Foreman Pipefitter (1983-2014), Jay Spaeder has been president since 2016 and manager of the service division since 2007. The division has expanded dramatically under his leadership, and its staff of over 40 technicians offers emergency repairs and maintenance services to industrial, commercial, and residential customers.

Jay has 38 years of experience, consisting of 10 years of fieldwork, 19 years of managing HVAC and industrial projects, and nine years of divisional management. He is committed to the education and development of young tradesmen, has served on the Apprenticeship Committee for L.U. 47 and 449, and was instrumental in the development of the Apprentice & Journeyman Training Facility in Erie, PA.

Terry Spaeder

Industrial Division Manager

With a Master of Science in Building Construction Management from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State, University Park, Terry Spaeder has been the industrial division manager since 1995. He has 35 years of experience managing the largest and most challenging industrial projects in refineries, chemical plants, paper mills, and food manufacturers, `and other traditional markets. Terry is committed to lean construction techniques, quality control, safety, best-in-business practices, and continuous improvement.

Steve Eastbourn

Commercial Division Manager

With an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, Steve has been our commercial division manager since 2008. He oversees the estimating and management of all plumbing and HVAC construction projects.

Steve’s background includes both large and small projects for healthcare, education, and commercial industries. He is a registered plumber for Erie County and has a plumbing license for the state of Ohio.

Steve also completed the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA)’s Institute for Project Management course in 2006 and is a LEED Accredited Professional. His experience includes seven years in the field, four years in project management, and nine years in his current role as Commercial Division Manager.

Jonathan Marsh

Virtual Design & Construction Division Manager

With an Associate Degree in Architectural Drafting and Certification in Plumbing Design, Jonathan is a member of the American Society of Professional Engineers. As the Division Manager for Virtual Design and Construction, Jon is responsible for design detailing, trade coordination, and integrated building information modeling (BIM). In the case of fabricated assemblies, he is also in charge of the production and coordination of 4D scheduling and phased installation. He also manages the CADD operators who provide design and engineering support to field technicians. Jon joined the company in 2008 after working for ten years as an engineering technician and CADD manager.

Jerry Cussins

Fire Protection Division Manager

With an Associate Degree in Mechanical Drafting and Design
NICET Level III in Water-Based Fire Protection Systems Layout, Jerry joined the Fire Protection Division in 1995, and has progressed from the lone system designer to division manager. He currently oversees a team of designers/project managers, a state-of-the-art fabrication shop, and a service department that offers 24/7 emergency service.

As the Division Manager, Jerry is responsible for estimating projects, as well as managing the design and installation of all types of automatic fire sprinkler systems in residential, commercial, industrial, healthcare, educational, and warehousing facilities. Prior to joining Spaeder, he worked for nine years as an engineering technician, designing HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems.

Mike Aiello

Corporate Director, Safety & Resource Development

With a Bachelor of Science Degree from York College of Pennsylvania, Mike has over 30 years of experience in manufacturing environments. For over 25 of those years, he has been instrumental in developing highly effective teams as a Human Resource Professional, often with multiple plant responsibilities.

Mike also has an extensive background in project coaching, exceeding customer expectations, behavior-based interviewing, and diversity. His time at WM. T. Spaeder began in 2013 where, among many achievements, he established standardized safety protocols which have decreased recordable injuries by 50%. Mike has also been instrumental in creating a strategic action plan to retain talent and attract new clients.
