At the Donjon Dry Dock in Erie, PA, we replaced the 20” and 48” discharge piping on four pumps as well as four valves. All of the piping was fabricated in the fab shop of the Wm. T. Spaeder Company.
Foreman Tim Hoover talks a little about the project, what we’re doing, certain safety considerations, as well as his thoughts on being a Steamfitter.
We’re proud to be working for EWPPA on this project. The dry dock is used to build, repair, convert, dry dock, and repower ships. It is one of only two dry docks on the Great Lakes capable of docking 1,000 foot vessels.

Will USS cod be visible to public while in drydock?
Thank you for commenting. As a contractor in to do a single project, we would be unable to answer that question though.
